Mitsubishi Mobile Service Unit launched in Kuching
https://paultan.org/2018/04/27/mitsubis ... n-kuching/
As part of efforts to better serve customers living in rural areas outside Kuching, Sarawak, Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia (MMM) has launched the Mitsubishi Mobile Service Unit there.
“As part of our after sales business expansion program, the Mitsubishi mobile service unit is to provide greater convenience and assurance for our customers living in rural areas in Sarawak that are far away from authorised Mitsubishi service centres,†said Tomoyuki Shinnishi, CEO of MMM.
“The Mitsubishi mobile service unit is capable of servicing up to ten cars per day and will cover vehicle schedule maintenance, inspection of vehicle wear and tear, and timing belt replacement,†he added.
Using a Triton as a base, the mobile service unit is equipped with a Mitsubishi vehicle diagnostic scanner, hydraulic jack with stand, air compressor and tool sets. There’s also room for spare parts such as oil filters and lubricants, as well as a generator for power supply.
The mobile service unit will be operated by certified Mitsubishi authorised service dealers, EON Auto Mart and Jimisar Autotrade, and will operate on 150 km radius from Kuching to towns such as Sematan, Lundu, Bau, Serian and Simunjan. Customers who are interested in obtaining the services of the unit can schedule an appointment with the aforementioned dealers.
“This is Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia’s first mobile service truck and customers shall see more of these mobile units in the near future as we are encouraging our authorized Mitsubishi dealers with fleet and rural customer base to embark on this effort to service our customers better,†added Shinnishi.

Mitsubishi Lancer Evo VI Is A Marvelous Machine From A Long-Gone Era
https://www.carscoops.com/2018/05/mitsu ... -gone-era/
Hearing the words Mitsubishi and Evolution used in the same phrase used to make petrolheads’ eyes water. Sadly, in 2015 the Japanese automaker pulled the plug, and so the legendary Evo series is no more.
Between 1992 and 2016, Mitsubishi made 10 generations of Lancer Evolutions. Some of them were less favored by enthusiasts, whereas others were considered true engineering marvels. All of them though had one thing in common: a rallying pedigree.
Going into specifics is going to need a very long time. Instead, we’re going to share yet another Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution that’s up for grabs.

The sixth-generation Evo pictured here came to life back in 1999. It used to cost less than £31,000 ($41,959) in the UK when it first went on sale, and SilverstoneAuctions believes that it could fetch some £20,000-£25,000 ($27,070-$33,838) at their event scheduled for next Saturday.
Bought by a Ralliart Team mechanic right after leaving the factory, it was registered in Britain the same year. In 2009, the Lancer was sold to its second owner, an fan of the model, and a few years later, it changed hands two more times.
Despite being in the possession of quite a few people during its lifetime, this Evo VI remains in a very good condition and is all original. There isn’t any rust, either, as it received a protective oil treatment layer to its underside.
The odometer shows 34,790 miles (55,989 km), and it was recently fully serviced and MoTd. The car now awaits for the winning bidder to enjoy its 4.4-second 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) acceleration and 150 mph (241 km/h) top speed – and, of course, its direct steering, fast gearchange and marvelous handling courtesy of the rally-derived all-wheel drive system.
