QUOTE (Vasea @ Oct 20 2017, 06:25 PM)

Barvo, lukas75 !
pacat ca nu este 4x4 cu MT

merci

Tokyo 2017: Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross reuses iconic sports car name on SUV, gets new 163 PS 1.5T engine

https://paultan.org/2017/11/03/tokyo-20 ... 5t-engine/

Purists may bemoan the fact that the Mitsubishi has decided to use the iconic Eclipse name on a crossover, but it's happened and we should all probably get used to it. The Tokyo Motor Show gave us an opportunity to get a closer look at the Eclipse Cross - next to the new e-Evolution Concept, another crossover that repurposes a hallowed nameplate - and the “ASX coupé” does look to be quite an attractive proposition.

Although it's been significantly toned down from the XR-PHEV concepts that previewed it, the Eclipse Cross carries over many of the styling cues. Front and centre is Mitsubishi's Dynamic Shield grille, flanked by large head- and fog light clusters, while the wedge-shaped profile, steeply-rising beltline, fast rear windscreen rake and short rear overhang give the car a more dynamic look.

The deep character line along the side of the car runs into the tail lights, and emphasises the beefy fender flares. At the rear, the Eclipse Cross' LED tail lights stretches across the rear windscreen, which is split Honda CR-Z-style. The third brake light is situated along the dividing bar, and when illuminated it connects the tail lights, forming a single beam of light.

Measuring 4,405 mm long, 1,805 mm wide and 1,685 mm tall, the new car is 110 mm longer, 35 mm wider and 60 mm taller than the ASX, although the 2,670 mm wheelbase remains the same.

Step inside and you'll find an interior that's actually rather reminiscent of the Lexus NX, with a cliff-like centre console framed by silver metal trim pieces. There's even a Touchpad Controller that is a direct ripoff of the Lexus' Remote Touch pad, manipulating the centre display. Speaking of which, the Smartphone Link Display Audio system supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Ahead of the driver, there's a head-up display that shows vehicle speed, data from the active safety systems and other necessary information, while at the back, the 60:40 split-folding rear bench slides and reclines.

Power comes from a new 1.5 litre direct-injected turbo petrol engine producing 163 PS at 5,500 rpm and 250 Nm from 1,800 to 4,500 rpm, mated to a CVT that features a Sport Mode with eight virtual ratios. There's also a 2.2 litre turbodiesel (no outputs have been revealed for the oil burner just yet), paired to an eight-speed automatic transmission.

Under the skin, the Eclipse Cross features an electronically-controlled all-wheel drive system, as well as Super All-Wheel Control (S-AWC) integrated dynamics control system with brake-activated Active Yaw Control (AYC). A three-point front strut tower brace and rear structural bonding increase body rigidity, which, combined with detail suspension optimisation, is said to offer precise handling and superior stability.

New Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross Coming To U.S. Through The LA Show

http://www.carscoops.com/2017/11/new-mi ... ng-to.html

Mitsubishi is going to challenge the Nissan Rogue Sport/Qashqai, and other compact SUVs, with the new coupe-like Eclipse Cross in North America as well.

Announced for the 2017 Los Angeles Auto Show, which starts on November 29 for the international press days, the crossover will celebrate its American premiere, after being presented in Europe earlier this year.

With a name that reminds enthusiasts of the unrelated coupe model discontinued in 2012, the new Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross is the brand's first SUV since the Nissan takeover, and it slots between the ASX/Outlander Sport and Outlander.

This alone is enough to hint at its starting price, which will likely stand at $21,000-$22,000 on our shores, where the 2018 Outlander Sport can be had from $20,295, and the 2018 Outlander adds a $3,500 premium.

Mitsubishi still has to detail each trim level for the North American Eclipse Cross, but in the United Kingdom, the SUV is offered in four grades. Powering it is a 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline unit, rated at 163hp and 184lb-ft (250Nm) of torque, and a 2.2-liter turbodiesel, which will be kept away from North America.

New Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross Lands In LA With A $23,295 Price Tag

Joining the likes of the Outlander Sport and Outlander in Mitsubishi's CUV lineup for the U.S. market is the all-new 2018 Eclipse Cross, with a starting MSRP of $23,295.

This price tag is married to the base spec ES version, which is joined in the lineup by the LE, SE and SEL. Standard features on the ES include heated power mirrors, a rear spoiler, color display, Bluetooth, rear view camera, cruise control and climate control.

Moving up the range will take you to the Limited Edition (LE) trim, featuring 18" alloys and unique black color exterior accents. This trim level also has a 7" display with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Meanwhile, the SE trim includes BSW, RCTA, LCA, heated front seats, fast-key passive entry with push button start, electronic parking brake with auto hold, 18" two-tone alloys and silver, chrome and gloss black exterior accents.

As for the top of the line SEL trim, it boasts additional features such as leather seats, LED headlights, a Head-Up display and a Multi-View camera system. Buyers can also spec the SEL version with Mitsubishi's Touring Package, which then adds the dual-pane power sliding panoramic sunroof, a 710-watt Rockford-Fosgate premium audio system, more safety tech (FCM, LDW, ACC, AHB), plus a heated steering wheel and rear seats.

Scheduled to arrive in U.S. dealerships in March 2018 and currently showcased at the 2017 LA Auto Show, the Eclipse Cross is also debuting Mitsubishi's CONNECT vehicle service program (standard on SE trim levels and above), featuring the Safeguard services package and the Remote services package.

The former brings Automatic Collision Notification, SOS Emergency Assistance, Information Assistance, Roadside Assistance, Stolen Vehicle Assistance, Alarm Notification and Mileage Tracker, while the latter offers Remote Climate Control, Remote Door Lock/Unlock, Remote Horn, Remote Lights, Car Finder, Vehicle Settings, and Parental Controls (Geo Fence, Speed Alert and Curfew Alert).
