Mitsubishi’s Outlander Sport - ASX Replacement Spied Inside-Out For The First Time :

http://www.carscoops.com/2016/11/mitsub ... t-asx.html

Mitsubishi was caught working on their upcoming new compact crossover by our skilled spies, a model that’s likely to replace the Outlander Sport/ASX model on both sides of the Atlantic.

As we can see on the photos, the new compact SUV will be heavily influenced from the 2013 XR-PHEV and 2015 XR-PHEV II concepts, bringing Mitsubishi’s concept styling finally on the road.

Obviously the sporty look of the concept will be toned down for the production model but still the new Mitsubishi will come with a distinctive front end and a sloping roof line, features that have become almost the norm in the segment.

Reports suggest that Mitsubishi’s all-new model is going to be more compact than the existing Outlander Sport/ASX in order to better rival cars like the new Toyota C-HR, the Mazda CX-3 and the Honda HR-V.

Our spies managed to take a peek at the interior too, with the dashboard being partially uncovered revealing an all-new layout with the infotainment screen on top and lots of silver detailing.

Mitsubishi is going to offer their upcoming compact SUV with a new turbocharged 1.5-litre petrol engine and a new plug-in hybrid powertrain, with both of them to be offered with front-wheel drive only. An all-electric version also rumoured to be on the cards, although if it’s true it will arrive on a later date.

There is even a chance that we’ll see the Evo badge returning but all will depend on the commercial success of the base models. This high-performance version of the new Mitsubishi SUV could be offered with a plug-in hybrid powertrain and -as you would expect- a trick AWD system.

Mitsubishi is expected to reveal their new model in 2017, with the Geneva Motor Show to be the best candidate event for the unveiling.

Next-Gen Mitsubishi Outlander Sport/ASX Shows Some Skin In New Spy Shot

After shaking Nissan's hand earlier this year, and with Carlos Ghosn taking the reins, Mitsubishi has started working on a replacement of the current Outlander Sport / ASX.

Proof stands an image taken somewhere in Japan by a motorist that shows the brand's compact SUV lacking camouflage, but since it's still in development stage, we cannot say for sure whether this design will hold.

However, previous reports have pointed towards styling cues drawn from the XR-PHEV II Concept, and this means that the upcoming Outlander Sport / ASX will benefit from a sportier rear end, and a raked rear window, in addition to the X-shaped front end, slender headlights probably with LED technology, and large wheels, for an extra visual effect.

Besides the usual petrol and diesel engines, which will channel the output to the front wheels or the optional AWD system, we could be looking into a possible plug-in hybrid powertrain too, similar to what the show car uses, but Mitsubishi will drop more light on the topic sometime next year, when the vehicle is expected to celebrate its premiere.

Mitsubishi ASX 2017 - restilizat cu Dynamic Shield

http://www.auto.ro/mitsubishi-asx/mitsu ... 55192.html

- Motorizare noua 1.6 Turbo Diesel 114 CP (w/ Auto Stop & Go, 6 M/T, fie 2WD ori 4WD)
– disponibilitate in functie de piata & model.

http://www.automarket.ro/stiri/in-cauta ... 75465.html

Mitsubishi Outlander Sport Limited Edition Debuts In Chicago, Priced From $21,995

Under the guidance of their new majority stakeholder, Nissan, Mitsubishi are planning an SUV offensive, led by their mystery model set to debut in Geneva.

However, before that happens, the Japanese automaker will be launching this 'Limited Edition' Outlander Sport, in the United States.

"As the brand sales leader, Outlander Sport does an exemplary job of offering consumers unmatched value at an attractive price. We've now taken that approach one step further by integrating additional standard equipment and technology into the Limited Edition, at a price point that is unprecedented within the broader CUV segment", said the MMNA Executive VP, Don Swearingen, in a statement.

Making its debut at the 2017 Chicago Auto Show, it sits above the ES grade and starts from $21,995. For the money, prospective buyers will get to choose between seven colors that go along with the 18-inch rims, HID headlights, fog lamps, black-finished side mirror casings, alloy fuel door, and the 'Limited Edition' badge.
It also features red stitching on the steering wheel, handbrake lever and shift knob, special custom-design black fabric, aluminum pedals, an infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and heated front seats.

There's no word yet on how many examples of the Mitsubishi Outlander Sport Limited Edition will be available, but the vehicle will arrive at dealers across the country this month.

Story has been updated with live photos from the Chicago Auto Show
